NORTH FORK, NY — In a world often divided by vitriol and hate, sometimes, there’s a simple act of kindness that touches hearts.
Sharon Sailor, owner of the Front Street Station restaurant in Greenport, took to social media Wednesday to share just such a story.
“Last night, a selfless customer took the initiative to pay for every table’s meals, creating a ripple effect of gratitude and warmth!” she wrote.

“With all the division, negativity and sadness we are inundated with every day, it was surprisingly refreshing to see someone pay it forward,” she said. “He wanted no accolades, left before I told the tables, and really just was a breath of fresh air! It makes me believe that good is all around us, we just need to stop and soak it in.”
Those who read the story on Facebook agreed.
“What a beautiful thing,” one man wrote.
