Big Update On Chris Jericho Possibly Entering the Royal Rumble Match, More On JR & Lawler’s Status For WWE Raw 25

As we noted yesterday, Jim Ross Tweeted that he and Jerry Lawler have been booked for the WWE Raw 25th anniversary special on January 22nd, however, they are awaiting their show assignments.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting the belief is the duo will be calling matches for the special being broadcast from the Manhattan Center. The show is also being broadcast, simultaneously, from The Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Big Update On Chris Jericho Possibly Entering the Royal Rumble Match

We noted a few weeks ago that Chris Jericho’s band Fozzy will be playing a show on the date of WrestleMania 34, making it very unlikely he will be able to appear at WrestleMania in New Orleans.

There has also been speculation regarding Jericho’s status for the Royal Rumble PPV this month, but Fozzy has a show in Paris, France on that day, making it not possible for Jericho to be in the Rumble match as well.

As seen last night, Chris Jericho made his return to the ring at Wrestle Kingdom 12, during which he lost an IWGP United States Title No DQ match to Kenny Omega. You can check out photos and videos from that match at this link.
