Deadly Violence Hit Pakistan’s Election Campaign, 133 Killed In Twin Blasts At Poll Rallies

At least 133 people, including a senior politician, Nawabzada Siraj Raisani, were killed and more than 160 injured on Friday as powerful bomb blasts targeted two separate rallies in Pakistan, the deadliest in a string of attacks on candidates ahead of the July 25 general elections.

According to police, one of the blasts targeted a rally organised in the restive Balochistan province by Siraj Raisani, a provincial assembly candidate of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) from Mastung and brother of Nawab Aslam Raisani, Balochistan’s former CM.
