Around 9:30 p.m., an officer pulled over and ran a check on a vehicle at North Main Street and Loudon Road. While doing so, they spotted a crash near the stop, on the westbound side of Loudon Road, at Exit 14, and radioed it into dispatch.
“(There are) people (lying) on the ground,” they said. “There is injury right now.”

“Let’s shut this down completely,” one officer said.

The collision involved a Toyota Sienna minivan and a motorcycle of unknown make.
The rider was in his late 30s and lived in Manchester. The motorcycle, which a family member from Campton owned, had an expired registration, dispatch said, and the rider did not have a motorcycle permit. The minivan had a Massachusetts registration, and the driver was a man in his early 20s with a Texas driver’s license. According to scanner chatter, passengers in the van were also from Texas, Alabama, and Connecticut. A driver and passenger in another vehicle were with and following the motorcyclist before the crash and they and witnesses were also interviewed.
The evidence technician van was requested, and New Hampshire State Police, having heard from witnesses that the crash occurred on an onramp, sent troopers.
While attempting to close the road and gather information, another officer requested more assistance because drivers were entering the opposite side of the road to get around the crash.
The motorcyclist was taken to Concord Hospital around 9:45 p.m. An officer was also sent to follow up with the injured rider. Firefighters spread absorbents around the motorcycle to deal with spilled fluids.
One officer also requested a quick “local history” check on the rider. A dispatcher confirmed there were a couple of minor issues in the past. When asked about specific criminal issues, dispatch said No — but added the pair following the motorcyclist had priors.
News 603 posted a video of the crash on Facebook.
While at the crash scene, an officer found a woman passed out on the ground near Fort Eddy Road.
The officer later reported the woman was “just heavily intoxicated” and not involved in the crash situation. They were released to a sober party, according to scanner chatter.
Tow trucks were requested just before 11:30 p.m. One driver was cited later. Eastbound traffic and offramps were reopened just before midnight.
