SEAL BEACH, CA — A person was killed in a traffic crash in Seal Beach early Monday morning near Seal Beach Boulevard and North Gate Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at about 2:15 a.m. near the Interstate 405 Freeway. Residents of Seal Beach were advised to avoid Seal Beach Boulevard between Old Ranch Parkway and Golden Rain at 6:25 a.m. while authorities investigated the crash.
The southbound Seal Beach Boulevard off-ramp on the 405 was closed for about five hours. Roads fully reopened at about 11 a.m., according to the Seal Beach Police Department.
