Power Yoga Studio Opens With Free Classes At Mashpee Commons

MASHPEE, MA — Cape Cod is set to get a new yoga studio this weekend when Universal Power Yoga opens its doors in Mashpee Commons.

The 5 North Market St. location is the fourth in Massachusetts for the studio, which operates others in Westwood, Norwood and Wrentham.

“Our focus is on community and making high quality yoga accessible for everyone,” said Owner and Found Jen Palmer, who is also a Sandwich native.

“Universal Power Yoga has an unpretentious, welcoming approach. We aim to build a yoga community of people who really care about each other and know first-hand how much yoga can change your life.”

Classes at the studio span the range of the yoga world, from flows for beginners to those targeted for those more experienced in the practice. Barre and pilates are also offered at the Cape Cod location.

For the grand opening weekend, Universal will host four free classes on both Saturday and Sunday. Registration, which can be done here, is required to hold a spot in the classes.

The schedule is:

Saturday

7 a.m. — Power Yoga with Lisa Howard

9 a.m. — All Levels with Sara Hubbard

10:30 a.m. — Universal Barre with Holly Commesso

12 p.m. — All Levels with Lynne Buscher

Sunday

7:30 a.m. — All Levels with Jen Palmer

9 a.m. — All Levels with Anna Lambros

10:30 a.m. — Pilates with Holly Commesso
