Take A Hike In Lake Elsinore: Walking Club Kicks Off Saturday

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Lake Elsinore residents, if you want to touch more grass and get outside, this may be the activity for you. The Walking/Hiking Club is stepping out at 8 a.m. Saturday, starting from Lakepoint Park. The guided hike will start at 8:15 a.m., and hikers can set their own pace.

Hikers will set food down the fitness trail in a guided hike. Water is available for all participants.

“Join us for our maiden voyage as we traverse the park’s invigorating fitness trail,” a spokesperson for the city said. “Whether you’re a seasoned walker or just looking to dip your toes into the world of hiking, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with nature and like-minded individuals.”

Different hikes will be planned across the city in the coming months. This is a basic hike to begin the program, which the community services department says they hope to grow with membership.

There is no cost to attend, according to the city.

The city of Lake Elsinore has 20 parks and hundreds of acres of active and passive recreation opportunities, according to the Community Services Department.
